ResponderEliminarHelloooooo!!!! =)
ResponderEliminarI cannot deny the fact the I like both fictional and non-fictional literature. For instance, fictional literature takes my imagination to a world of posibilities where the impossible, magic, supernatural is beyond the common. A perfect illustration of this would be a novel called "The Lovely Bones" written by Alice Sebold. From my point of view that novel combines several types of fiction since it is about a child's murder and everybody tries to find the murderer, thus, there is a lot of suspense (mystery) Also, there is a magic world where the girl, who was killed, lives and do whatever she wants (Science fiction). Besides, it is a story which covers family situations such as the feeling of losing a child and how a family can over it (Realistic fiction).
Regarding to non-fictional literature, it is great to read about something that is interesting and actually real. For example, I read "Paula" by Isabel Allende and it is a biography about her daughther's life. It is very touching how the writer narrates the whole story until Paula dies.
I agree with you, both literary genres are interesting, because fiction show us an imaginary world, where the writer make use of her/his tools to get the reader attention, creating characters and also a wonderful environment. Non-fictional literature tell us about actual events and facts.
ResponderEliminarFor instance, Anne Frank's Diary.it is one of the most renowned and most discussed Jewish victims of the Holocaust, her diary has become one of the world's most widely read books, and has been the basis for several plays and films.
for that reason both literary genres are interesting for me.
Well as Saraith and Claret said, I like both fictional and non-fictional literature, but I prefer non-fictional at the time to read a book or a history, I think it is interesting to know a true account of a person´s life like Biographies, because we can be informed about what happened in the history, I have read about many biographies most of them related to great Christian people, like Martín Lutero who was a great man who reformed the church`s history and began the print revolution. Also I like to read about special cases of real life as the history of Helen Keller, She was blind and deaf also mute because she can´t see, hear nor learn the language of others, but she learned to write, read, speak and hear. It was an amazing history. However when I´m going to watch a movie I prefer realistic fiction.
ResponderEliminarNice comments, girls! What about the rest of the group?
ResponderEliminarIs the Anglo-Saxon literature important to be read by you as English students? Why?
Ohhhh yes, I liked Anna Frank's Diary as well :P
ResponderEliminarWith regard to Yusmely's question, I would say that Anglo-Saxon literature is somehow interesting because we are used to reading "regular" texts or short stories. Thus, we have never had the oportunity to read a real piece of literature work.
For instance, I have never had the chance of reading a whole novel written in English. But now I feel good due to the fact that I read my first english novel for the first time and I realize that I am totally capable of doing so.
Besides, I could distinguish that those novels are narrated with a particular style (old english) and I was able to learn new vocabulary. For these reasons I think Anglo-saxon Literature is important. =)
In my opinion Anglo-Saxon literature is very important because it has allowed me understand many literati terms and also identify them in a story, and although we have to read, read, read and reaaaad…… it is good for us in order to acquire more vocabulary and improve our act of speech.
ResponderEliminarI agree with Sara. For instance, I already knew some of the literary terms exposed by the teacher. But some of them were new for me. Although, I have to say that I prefer reading than identifying literature terms.
ResponderEliminarJajajajajaja!!! That's right, Sari! Nevertheless, we have to learn about those terms!
ResponderEliminarI find Haikus very interesting! Could you share one with us?

ResponderEliminarbut sometimes they don't make sense

Hehe...The poem above is actually a Haiku as you can see!
Now, the Haiku below is funny. It's about a cat!

I know neither of them mention nature but I found them funny and interesting and that is what the teacher asked us :P hehe.
Literature is source of knowledge, which this, students should be able to and understand literary texts and also it will analyze specific passages from content about anglox-literature with literary texts the student will learn and will enjoy reading.
ResponderEliminarLiterature and novels are the basis to mastering the language and writing
Hi everybody!!! Haikus are interesting, I liked them, you can write wherever you want, Haiku is like a poem and you must not take care about rhyme but it has only three lines, and 17 syllables.
