ResponderEliminarThis is an amazing movie and it deals with a cop obsessed with the way about new technology develops alternative mechanisms to help human beings. The matter is in the movie:
Is it replacing the human workforce by machines nowadays?
Well, it's very difficult trying to imagine this situation, due to at present we don't have the power to have a personal robot. Even, instead of having a pet we have a personal robot I think that we can feel in the same way as Gloria loved to Robbie. I mean, when we have a personal connection could be a friendship with someone it is the most beautiful quality that somebody can have, it doesn't matter if you are a robbot or not.
ResponderEliminarSo, it's not the same having a pet that in most cases, we don't take care them. To have a Robbot that can speak and do all your commands except for the 3 robbots laws.
I agree with Yos! is hard to imagine this situation, but in my personal opinion I think if we can feel that same bond of affection that felt Gloria. Robbie was not just a machine, he became in a true friend for her.
ResponderEliminarIf we have a robot which shares every day with us, our jobs, our sorrows, our joys, every day, that robot would be part of our lives and affection for this machine would be bigger.
I think that having a robot would not be different from a pet, it all depends on the way how human beings are and how we think, every person has diferent views. I have a dog which I speak and I feel affection for this animal. If many times we fell in love with objects that It can not talk and listen, then, if we can get an idea of what it would have a robot in our homes.

ResponderEliminarTeacher I know that you want me but I arrived jeje, well, I would have to live that experience to answer this question, but if we imagine and think a little, it could almost be the same case as when we have a personal dog, inconsciously we feel a big attachemnt with it and having a personal robot maybe I would feel the same attachment that Gloria had.

ResponderEliminarWithout forgetting that technology is a benefit because it generate jobs for creative people who want to investigate and publicize new things.
Especially the breakthrough in the last decade is the internet, but few of us have been thinking that many of these benefits have become harmful, piracy, unemployment, pornography, and others.
We ourselves have seen in movies where it appears a problematic where technology is so advanced that rebelled against their creators, "We humans."
Another example is the nuclear bombs, which somehow have intended to end life on earth.
Practically the technology is developed to make things simple, from a microwave to a robot, and though is man who gives "life" to the machine and even gives intelligence. We must know where to stop, so that humans can not be substituted as an invention.
Well I think it's time to get to reflect and refine our current technology, I'm not saying that I am against technology, I am agree that there are also technologies that help our world but now is time to replace those technologies that one way or another are destroying our world by some that do not.
Sorry teacher, I agree with my friend Julia, iF I had a personal robot I will love him, because the novel says this robot was very good, but, we should not have any type of attachment with things, because nothing is forever in life and when It disappear hurt a lot, so you have to enjoy then hile we have it.
ResponderEliminarThe technology is part of our lives, I think the technology is very benefited, we can study and work, because it give us the opportunity to do it through the internet.
ResponderEliminarthe technology is not negative, everything it will depend on the utility will be given it, for example the nuclear bomb its principle are based on nuclear energy it can blow and destroy humanity and the same energy can be used in the thermonuclear machines, used to generate a large amount of electrical energy and benefit and give a better lifestyle for humans.
The technology help us ours work, in the house, I think in all.
Having a robot won't be a problem in the future, right now, we have a lot of Concepts based on advanced technology, of course, this is just the begining.
ResponderEliminarI agree with Virginia, the technology is part of our lives, but we can't say that humans are going to like or understand the reason why we're creating machines as servants, or in some cases, as friends. We need to remember that machines are created by humans, and everything created by us Have mistakes, so we need to expect that robots are not going to be perfect, at least the first time...
Nowadays, there are many things made by the human beings with the purpose of improve our world, of creating alternatives for people, but is very sad the bad use that we do with all those things. one Robot is not going to be bad because it would be a help for me or for us, making our life easier, but it would brings negative things too doing robots are controlled by us for making the activities that should be made by our own efforts are made by them. for instance: we have computers. it is a easier way for people to do their activities, to investigate, searching some information and so on and now with this techonology is rarely when people take a sheet of paper to write, or searching a book to read. it is only done with very few people, but the only problem with the techonoly is the bad use of people.

ResponderEliminarI think that owning a robot is very similar than owning a pet because humans are used to share feelings with things and animals. Gloria wanted robbie because he was sharing with her all the time, he looked after her and she looked him not just as a simple robot even as a very good friend.
ResponderEliminarthe technology is certainly part of our daily routines because it makes our lives easier. in the future, humans will be able to create artificial life as robots, the most of people call it "artificial intelligence"(A.I)where robots are able to think by themselves. this would be really very dangerous because they could act against human race, they are stronger than human, they would think that they are perfect people and humans could be under their orders.

It is difficult to imagine ourselves without technological advances such as cars, microwaves, cell phones, computers, and televisions. However, technology won’t stop here, but develop further. As technology develops, there are not only advantages, but disadvantages from them. Some of the advantages of technology are that one can save time and money and life will be made easier as a result of not having to do all the hard work. In contrast, the disadvantages of technology are that people maybe will loose their jobs because machines that will do the work for them. In addition, the development of tecnology cause damage in our planet.

ResponderEliminarWhen you have advanced technologies, life is easier. If we have Robots and machines, they would take over our daily life chores. For example, daily life chores might be serving our breakfast, cutting our lawn, or cleaning our room. With robots and machines doing one’s chores, one has time to relax and share with our families.

I believe that if could have, as humans often endearing at times with the material, and being a personal robot the bond would be larger because the live daily with it, could be seen as part of the family or a better friend. However, owning a pet means that we integrate into opportunities (exaggeration) to our family giving care as a human being and they give back so many times we love giving us a look with feeling, etc, while owning of a robot (this be real) maybe not the same, at least you may not receive gestures of affection. Unless you are a robot like Robbie. Heidi.
ResponderEliminarHaving or not a type of attachment to a robot will be our choise, It will depends on the technology used on robots. Those new ¨Pets¨ are going have price, remember, advanced technology is always expensive.
ResponderEliminarIt is true that technology has been designed to largely improve our lives, I think that in future situations seen in some futuristic movie could be considering how advanced technology is today. But I also think that the creation of robots with advanced technology as well as facilitate and improve our lives, would replace people in a job which is harmful or negative for us, and consider that things could become dependent on a machine and overburden the land of material at some point it might be enemy.
ResponderEliminarIs also important to note that technology is advanced it can not replace human warmth and affection (if robots were created nannies) and that above all things we must use the technology for the good of us and all of the land as often put profit above what tey believe may be advantage for us and we end up being harmful to ourselves and the earth.
