  2. Good night, I thought it was a nice story and I liked the fact that once you start reading you do not want to stop because the plot surrounds you, Ichabod was a character with good attributes in the eyes of the inhabitants of Sleepy Hollow, in my opinion Personal a great quality is the one that has remained in sleepy hollow for the purpose of instructing the children, I did not like the one that was so ambitious since that was practically the main reason why he wanted to conquer to katrina, or that he was so superstitious. I must also say that one of the moments that most involved me during this reading was the narrative of the '' encounter '' between ichabod and the ''Headless Horseman. ''

    1. Hi Lucero... I'm glad you enjoyed the novel. What do you think the primary purpose of the story is?

    2. Well, I think that this story as well as all that talk about legends about '' spirits '' have as their purpose is to make us believe that these '' spirits '' really exist ... I think that is something that is in the mind Of people, for example in this story we can see that ichabod was an extremely superstitious man perhaps' because of that he had that encounter with the '' headless man '' because based on the narrative I agree with the peasant wives by saying that ichabod was Carried by supernatural means .. perhaps these "spirits" if they really exist can present themselves to people who believe in them.

  3. Hello, first of all the story is very interesting and is very good and has some suspense but what I do not like is because ichabod did not fight for the love of katrina but left without doing anything, I leave the way free to brom Just because he was afraid.

  4. My opinion about "the legend of Sleepy Hollow" is that it's a very good novel, in particular I liked it because I love the genre of terror and it's about a town where believe lot in ghosts. I can say that I liked the character of Ichabod Crane, the bad thing was that he did not stay with Katrina.

  5. Goodnight! It is definitely a very old but interesting story. Like most people, I knew this story more by the movie, than by the book, and they are totally different stories! And I really like it, because it's a different and innovative legend, which includes stories of horror, romanticism and comedy, and is a good mix of genres for a story. It is also short, easy and quick to read. That can make you smile before scenes like in that it says that Ichabod, so thin, tall and ungainly had to ride a borrowed horse that was rather small, and describes you the image, and is very funny.

  7. Hello..in my opinion, I think the novel the legend of Sleepy Hollow is good and interesting because the suspense motivates us to want to read it complete. Well, I liked the introduction because it describes each quality that has the protagonist Ichabob Crone.

  8. It is a very interesting story, I liked it because it is different for me, I always read love stories and this story has terror, suspense etc. To imagine for everything that happened ichabod is interesting. The film is very different compared to the book, when you read you surprise yourself and more in the end. I can say that I liked it a lot but I did not expect that ending, I hoped that ichabud and katrina would be together! But it was not like that

  10. Hi, it is a good story and really intresting but I didn't like it, I didn't enjoy reading it as the rest of muy classmates, I did not like it because I don't like horror, and the fact that Katrina and Ichabod weren't together at the end of the novel is awful

  11. Hi guys, well teacher in general I liked the story, but ichabod was not typical of hero-tipe, he was just an extremely superstitious school teacher, but I would like to have him is that the "hero", Ichabod Crane, He was a school teacher more than any other. He was also a coward. didn't like of the story.

  12. Hi, l liked the novel because it is very interesting, also I liked that Ichabod went to the party and was told to Katrina that she is a very beautiful young woman. Althought he was not reciprocated as he hoped.

  13. It is clear that it is not the typical story we are accustomed to in which '' love can do everything '' but it seems to me that I could not have another ending with regard to his relationship with Katrina, this because he really did not He loved it, he seemed pretty, but the one mainly because he wanted to have something with her was because of the great fortune he would inherit one day.

  14. Hello... The Leyend of Sleepy Hollow is an interesting story since it is full of suspense without leaving aside some love and comedy, this story makes the reader curious about the ending. It is interesting how Ichabod can be drawn to the supernatural stories that the man is very studied

  15. Nice comments!!! I'm happy to read that you all enjoyed the novel. Franyiver menctioned that the novel is very different from the movie we watched last Monday... Let's talk about it... What are the main DIFFERENCES? Each one of you can name at least ONE!

    ResponderEliminar

    1. One of the differences is that in the film Ichabod was a researcher of deaths and in the novel he was a teacher.

      Eliminar
    2. I think that one of the most relevant diference is that in the book the headless horseman doesn't have so much prominence as un the movie. I mean that in the book it is a legend but in the movie it do exist

      Eliminar
    3. The difference between the film and the novel is that in the movie Katrina falls in love with Ichabod and in the novel Katrina married with Brom

      Eliminar
    4. Hi, I think one ofe the differences is that in the movie the headless horseman exists because the Katrina's stepmother practice wichcraft to invoke the horseman's ghost. On the other hand, in the book the headless horseman is only a legend of Sleepy Hollow but it is used by Brom Van Bront to scare in love wiht katrina.

      Eliminar

    5. teacher I think the most important difference is how they show the protagonist ichabod in the movie as a very interesting and brave man instead in the novel is a simple teacher who is not brave is a coward instead.

      Eliminar
    6. One of the differences could be that in the movie the antagonist was the stepmother of Katrina and in the novel the antagonist was the headless horseman itself

  16. Hello guys good morning, I think the story the legend of Sleepy Hollow is very interesting although personally it is not my favorite history, because although it is good with suspense and some terror the outcome of the plot I do not catch or understand much. And I seeing the movie first and then I reading the book, my expectations about the story went down.

  17. Hello! For me one of the most notable differences between the book and the film is with respect to the character of Brom van who happens to be one of the key characters in the book (in fact could be the same the rider without head) to have no relevance in the film, since it is decapitated in the middle of the film to provoke the rider. Even at the end of the book he marries the protagonist katrina, and in the film is different, Katrina is with ichabod. (Keren) *-*

    ResponderEliminar
  18. hello guys and teacher, I think that one of the differences is that in the movie, the stepmother of Katrina is the one who guides the rider with no head and in the book she does not say that it is only a legend in a book.

    ResponderEliminar
  19. Hi! So i think that the novel is so interesting because is fascinating the case of the headless horseman, is amaizing the encounter of ichabod with the headless horseman, i like it, cause first, de know and learn more vocabulary and the purpose of the novel and we can to differentiate the concepto, time, environment.
So is fascinating because you can read and want to know more, this is the point forma me, that is so interesting.

    ResponderEliminar
  20. Hello! Well guys, other of the relevant differences is that in the movie Ichabod falls in love with Katrina for her beauty and her personality. But in the book Ichabod falls in love Katrina is because of the wealth that his father had, the interest of Ichabod was money and the farm

    ResponderEliminar

  21. Hello!!!! There are many differences, one of them is that in the party of the movie Katrina gives a kiss on the cheek to Ichabod, but in the novel they dance. Also, Ichabod is a teacher in the novel, but in the movie not. others differecens are that The headless horseman in the movie is real but in the novel no, just it's a legend that Brom use to scare to ichabod and the last one is that Ichabod frightened returned to new york in the novel but in the movie he returned to New York with Katrina.

    ResponderEliminar
  22. Another important is that in the novel ichabod loses the love of Katrina for fear of the legend of headless horseman and returns to New York alone while in the movie fights so that katrina didn't die at the hands of the witchcraft of her stepmother, fought against the deadless hosrseman and managed to save her and take her with him to new york♥♥♥♥♥

    ResponderEliminar
  23. I liked the story but I didn't like the end, it's OK that at the end of the novel Ichabod and Katrina didn't end together, I hate the way how Ichabod left the town without for the love of Katrina

    ResponderEliminar
  24. clearly the difference that has more impact on us is the relationship between ichabod and katrina, another difference is that in the movie it is a fact that the headless rider exists, it is clear that it is a work of sorcery but it is a fact that it is the author of the deaths while in the book alone is the legend, do not confirm that it was the headless rider who attacked ichabod

  25. So, everybody agrees that the book is very different from the movie. Now, do they have any similarities? Can you name some of them?

    ResponderEliminar

    1. Yes, the movie is very different from the novel. A similarity is the scene where Brom disguised as the headless horseman throws a pumpkin in Ichabod

      Eliminar
    2. yes, I agree with Denireth that is the most relevant similarity between the movie and the book. Other similarity may be that Brom is jealous of Ichabob.

      Eliminar
    3. I agree with my classmates, the similarly is when Ichabod saw the "headless horseman" but it was Borm

      Eliminar
    4. People of the town of sleepy hollow were very superstitious and believed in ghosts, witchcraft and in the headless horseman both in the movie and in the novel

      Eliminar
    5. I also agree with my classmates, the similar scene is when Brom masquerades as the headless horseman and throws the pumpkin to Ichabnod

      Eliminar
  26. Yes, besides other similarities is that Van Tassel is a wealthy farmer and important in the novel and in the film

    ResponderEliminar
  27. Hello! In my opinion the book and the film are very few similarities that have, are totally different! Basically they only resemble each other in the names of the characters and in the legend! But one of the similarities that most distinguish is that of the character Brom who is likewise in love with Katrina and hates ichabod. (Keren)

    ResponderEliminar
  28. teacher, I agree with my classmates, because the similarities between the movie and the story is when ichabod is hit with the pumpkin and that brom felt many ichabod jealousy.

  29. I agree with mairelys, one of the great similarities is found in the superstitious ones that were the inhabitants of the town

  30. I could not watch the movie but I heard some comments, and as for the scenes it was evident that they were different from the book, since in the novel it tells the story with more drama and there are arguments that excite when reading it.
Bit i heard that the similatiries was when ichabod was hit with the pumpkin on his head by the headless horseman, i could ser that parte un the novel, and i'm sure it's like this.
