  2. Well teacher and guys, i think the genre of the pictures of Dorian Gray is gothic, why? Because during the novel Dorian walks for the dark side of life , because the author wrote about the vanity , the sex , the alcohol , the money and specially the society and all those aspect turns Dorian into a really bad person. And his soul was burning for all the bad decisions he made. So I think When the author wrote this novel he was thinking how we can lost ourselves for the material things.

many people can change for his own actions. We have an example Dorian, change an influenced by load Henry.
there is a lesson for people today because theare are many problems like it, specially with the youngers

  9. I think, that we cannot give the soul to the devil because our words can be turned in fact. It is like bumerand, the law of the cause and effect. God only can save to us of the badness of the man when we trusted We must at any moment be humble. it does not concern the way to think of the people.
furthermore we must live a calm, generous life and with great values. I believe that they have art or them people always are not important. on the other hand when we age we must accept that our skin is wrinkled and we get old is the law of the life. We do not have to reject to the people by its condition for being poor.
Finally, we must have personality and not let to us influence by the friendly

  10. I´m agree with Graciela and Yuleide , i think the author wants to express his thoughts about how bad and prejudice can be the society , creating preformed opinions and irrational ways to live and that it´s pretty disturbing specially for the soul. So that kind of prejudice wont change at all and at this time it is even worse.
so the main idea of the novel can give a lesson. about how we can be happy if taking out the material things.

  11. What do you think Dorian’s childhood was like?

  12. I think that, we can learn a very important lesson from Dorian Grey's novel because the situation can be similar. Nowadays, some people lead double lives not only harming themselves but to others. At the same time these people try to do good deeds in order to God forgive them for their bad behaviour, but this is not the right way of doing things because these people like Dorian Grey are not sincere. As a result, they can lose everything including their lives.

  13. I think that Dorian suffered a lot during his childhood, because his Granpa Kelso was a rich old man and a"stingy dog". Also, he was punished and lonely who lived with him for several years in London, He was locked in a dark room. In my opinion, the rest of his life was influenced by his childhood. because in this way I can explain about his behaviors and feelings towards the life. his mother's attitude was important influence because she makes fun of of Mr. Carlington that was enamored with her. He was fall in love of Margarita Dorian's mother. consequently, she was abandoned to Dorian's luck. a selfish person who had terrible moments of loneliness and neglect. Dorian was a boy born from the pain, the mother snatched by the death, the boy left to the solitude and the old tyranny by a heartless one.
Dorian was an interested boy on the material things and from small the art like its own life appreciated much,

  14. Well teacher, I don't know what to say about Dorian’s childhood, it is difficult to tell exactly all details. As my friend graciela said, Dorian was a boy born from the pain, according to the novel the grandfather of dorian commanded to kill his father because he was poor. I think that it was difficult for Dorian to lose his father and see his mother's pain. Probably, for that reason Lord Henry was able to manipulate Dorian using his ideas about beauty and pleasure.
